The topic of this path with its five stopping places is the impact of climate change on tourism. One of the attractions of Grindelwald are the fascinating glaciers. But the ice masses are melting. Scenarios predicting that three quarters of Switzerland’s glaciers will disappear in the next few decades are not improbable. The appeal of the Alps will change. No-one knows how tourists will react to this.

Five years after launching the Jungfrau Climate Guide in 2009 on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the University of Bern, the initiators of the project have now developed an updated version: From 1 July 2014, it can be downloaded as an app for iPhones and Android devices.
